Learn All About Minnesota’s Grand Own Homes

Minnesota Book Award winner, Larry Millett, is visiting the Cambridge Public Library on Saturday, June 10 at 10:30 am to talk about his book, Minnesota’s Own:  Preserving our Grand Homes.  In this book Mr. Millett and his photographer, Mike Schmitt, welcome readers into homes from across the state that have been lovingly preserved, saved so that they can remain jewels among the state’s living architecture.  The book is a lavishly illustrated account of 22 great Minnesota houses and the remarkable people who built and preserved them.

Millett is the author of several other non-fiction books including Minnesota Modern, Once There Were Castles and the Twin Cities:  Then and Now.  His ever popular fiction stories surrounding the adventures of Sherlock Holmes include Sherlock Holmes and the Ice Palace Murders, Sherlock Holmes and the Red Demon and the newest title just out, Sherlock Holmes and the Eisendorf Enigma.

Mr. Millett’s visit is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.  The event is free and open to the public.
