Spend an hour touring the world through the guitar and voice of Robert Everest during his Latin music program at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13 at Parmly on the Lake, 28210 Old Towne Rd., in Chisago City. The performance will be held inside the Chapel.
Everest, a Twin Cities native, will be playing music from multiple countries in several languages, with emphasis on Latin America, Southern Europe, and West Africa, along with a number of original compositions. In this performance he accompanies himself on the unique, seven-string Brazilian guitar.
Everest has been exploring the music of the world for nearly 30 years. He has delighted audiences from local and national venues to around the globe with his vast repertoire of acoustic world music, solo and multiple ensembles.
Presented by the East Central Regional Library, this project was funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
