East Central Regional Library cardholders now have access to on-demand virtual tutoring, writing assistance, career and interview coaching, and more with two new services created by Brainfuse: HelpNow and JobNow.
Both services offer live help daily, from 2 to 11 PM. Video content, test prep, homework tools, and additional skill building and career-enhancing resources are available 24 hours a day.
Brainfuse HelpNow provides on-demand one-to-one homework help
HelpNow is an innovative platform that connects students to live tutors. Here’s how it works. Patrons and tutors meet in the Brainfuse Online Classroom where tutors guide students through homework challenges and help them to develop the necessary skills to complete assignments on their own. Writing tutors can help patrons become better writers through live chat and real-time document sharing. When live help is not available, users may email questions for a next day response. Additionally, documents such as research papers may be submitted for review and feedback and that feedback will be returned within 24 hours.
The HelpNow Adult Learning Center provides GED content, U.S. citizenship prep, MS Office Essential Skills help, assistance in resume/cover letter writing, and more. Older students will also find study materials and practice tests for a wide range of tests including (but not limited to) the ACT, SAT, GED, ASVAB, GRE or TOEFL.

Brainfuse JobNow provides expert resume & cover letter writing assistance as well as live interview coaching
Are you looking for a new job but don’t know where to start? JobNow can help with that! JobNow coaches provide live interview, career, and skills coaching daily, from 2 to 11 PM, giving job seekers from all backgrounds valuable expert help and guidance. And job seekers can submit their resumes for feedback even if live help is not available. Simply upload your resume to the Resume Lab and within 24 hours a job coach will send detailed feedback and suggestions for improvement. Resume templates are provided to help get you started. In addition, job seekers will find 24/7 access to career resources like eParachute, the Interview Toolbox, and the Adult Learning Center.
