At 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 29 join us at the McGregor Public library and learn about stand-up comedy, improvisation, comedy writing and more.  The program will also incorporate the history and culture of stand-up comedy in Minnesota and its development since the 1970s.  This workshop for adults will last 60-90 minutes.

Please pre-register by stopping by the library or calling 218-768-3305 and asking for the McGregor Public Library.

If you can’t make the workshop, then join us for the comedy performance that evening, Saturday, April 29 at 8:00 pm at the McGregor School Auditorium.  The event is free and open to the public.  The workshop and the comedy performance are funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

  1. “learn about stand-up comedy, improvisation, comedy writing and more.” This is something that need to be conducted regularly and it is good for ‘newbie’ comedian who try to find their own unique material and performances. I hope i can join this workshop next time and i really want to improve myself when presenting the stand up comedy. Sometimes my jokes only can be understood by close friend and not a stranger. If a stranger can laugh at your jokes, it will be a good indicator that you can perform on the stage.
