Spooktacular events at the library!

With pumpkins carved and yards decorations in place, people are once again anticipating the night of October 31, Halloween. While trick-or-treating is the main event, consider what the library has in store up to the big day. Some of the following events are for kids, others for adults. Either way, you’re sure to have a hauntingly, super fun time!

Wednesdays in Wyoming: Spooky Stuff, Ghosts, Aura, ESP: Wednesday, Oct. 17, 7-8 p.m., Wyoming Area Library. A fun program for adults in the spirit of Halloween.

Minnesota’s Most Haunted Locations- the Scariest Places in MN: Monday, Oct. 22, 6:30-8 p.m., Princeton Area Library. Paranormal researcher Chad Lewis presents a ghostly journey to some of the most haunted places in the state.

Bizarre History of Minnesota- Strange Stories from Our Past: Tuesday, Oct. 23, 6:30-8 p.m., Mora Public Library. Paranormal researcher Chad Lewis showcases over 100 bizarre newspaper stories from Minnesota that have not been seen in over 100 years. It was a time of strange deaths, ghosts, sea serpents, peculiar people, medical anomalies, oddities, psychic phenomena and UFOS.

Lights on After School Halloween Crafts: Thursday, Oct. 25, 3-4:30 p.m., Pine City Public Library. Drop by the library after school to make Halloween crafts, masks, and treats.

Frankentoys: Thursday, Oct. 25, 4-5:30 p.m., Aitkin Public Library Community Room. Teens, prepare for Halloween by taking old, neglected toys and taking them apart to reassemble them into new creations. They can be creepy or cute, whatever your creative mind can conjure up. Recommended for ages 12-18. Limited space and supplies available. Registration is required.

A Spooktacular Halloween Storytime: Thursday, Oct. 25, 6-6:45 p.m., Chisago Lakes Area Library. Join us for some fall fun as we read stories, decorate pumpkins and have a costume parade. Best suited for ages 3-12. Caregiver attendance required.

Super Saturday: Shivery Stories & Monstrous Fun: Saturday, Oct. 27, 10:30-11:45 a.m., Rush City Public Library. Get a head start on Halloween fun and festivities when you join others for games, crafts, stories, snacks and more. Children may wear costumes if they wish. Best suited for ages 6-10.

Falloween Festival: Saturday, Oct. 27, 3-3:30 p.m., Ojeketa Regional Park, 27500 Kirby Ave., Chisago City. The Chisago Lakes Area Library invites you to hear stories and more. Meet at Storm Hall. For more info, ask for the library at 651-257-2817.
