The 2019 Summer Learning Program at East Central Regional Library will be out of this world! Our summer program, A Universe of Stories, begins Tuesday, May 28th, and we encourage everyone to stop by their local branch and pick up their materials!
For kids ages 3-11, you will be asked to complete 20 hours of reading and/or reading-related activities. For each 5 hour milestone you will get a prize! When you reach 20 hours you will also get your name in the Grand Prize Drawing! Grand prizes vary by location but every location, including Outreach, has 4 packs of tickets to the Minnesota State Fair to give away.
For teens, you will be asked to submit book reviews. For each review submitted, your name will go in the prize drawing for fabulous prizes including 4 packs of tickets to the Minnesota State Fair!
At select locations, we have our Rubber Ducky Club for younger readers, ages 0-3. We ask that caregivers and children complete tasks that will help develop early literacy skills. Prizes are a rubber ducky and a board book!
Adults, we have something fun for you, too! At select locations, we’ll be offering an adult version of our summer program. You will be asked to complete reading related activities or submit book reviews for your chance to win prizes!
Before you blast off, check out some stellar events this summer. The fun begins with a visit from The Jolly Pops, a musical trio of Dads who live to rock out with kids of all ages.
