ECRL is pleased to say a belated “Welcome!” to Miranda (Mandie) Krueger as the new Branch Librarian in Aitkin. Mandie succeeds Katie Pierce, who left us this summer to take a new position in the Twin Cities.
Mandie is currently enrolled in the University of Kentucky‘s School of Information Science to obtain her MLS degree, and hopes to finish within a year and a half. She graduated from the University of Minnesota – Duluth, with a BA in History and German Studies.
Prior to joining ECRL, Mandie worked for Bemidji Public Library as a Library Assistant, moving up from a substitute assistant to a Library Assistant III, where she worked at the circulation and information desk, and doing collection development, teen/young adult services, and programming.
Mandie started with ECRL on August 21st, and she and her husband Dan recently closed on a house in Aitkin. She is excited to take on the role of Branch Librarian for the Aitkin community and has already gotten off to a great start, adding storytimes to her list of library talents — all while starting her school semester and settling in to the new house!
If you haven’t yet, please stop by the library to say hello and welcome her to Aitkin.
YAY! Congrats on the new position, ECRL is so lucky to have you!
